As we move from childhood to adulthood, our interests, experiences, and physical appearances shift, and yet our memories live on. Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2024 Collection was an illustration of this notion with Creative Director Miuccia Prada taking inspiration from the span and scope of human lives. Each ensemble acts as a reflection of character development, illustrating the way our present, future, and past selves exist simultaneously.
This theme is solidified throughout the collection, evident in its shrunken proportions and youthful garments which are juxtaposed with chic tailoring and accessories reminiscent of adulthood. Fused materials and mixed up codes of dress lean into the collection’s key components of duality and the value of memories, coming together to create what the house has called “a vocabulary of clothing.”
