Wide receivers are arguably the second most important positional group in the modern game, behind quarterbacks. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that some of the hottest recruits in the 2024 cycle are receivers. One prospect we’ll be keeping an eye on over the coming weeks and months is Taz Williams Jr. four-star from Red Oak, Texas.

When I attended the Wide Receiver Skills Clinic in Dallas last weekend, it seems like Williams’ recruitment is wide open and he’s open to play anywhere. according to Cole Patterson at Rivals.
The Red Oak playmaker has received more than 40 offers, including from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Texas. Williams has visited several campuses this summer as he gets a better sense of what he wants from a school. Originally from Pennsylvania, Williams is open to going anywhere to get to the next level. He will be at LSU later this month as the Tigers make a push.”
Williams (5’10, 150 pounds) has no shortage of options. Until now, He has 43 college offers. However, none of them are rated as “hot” for commitment by 247Sports.
This reflects something On3 prediction model says, who currently has no clear favourite. Texas currently leads at 23.1%, followed by TCU at 15.3%, then SMU at 8.9% and Ohio State at 7.4%.
Rivals ranks Williams highest among the Big Four recruiting services. They ranked him 21st among wide receivers in his class and 135th nationally.
