Don’t look now, but Alabama is back among the elite recruiting programs for the Class of 2024. After a slow start to the recruiting cycle, the Crimson Tide has risen rapidly in the national recruiting rankings in recent weeks. Now they are among the top five teams in the country.
Over the weekend they picked up the promise of another top recruit. This time it was four-star Caleb Odom of Carrollton, Ga..

Odom (6-foot-1, 100 pounds) had offers from 30 other programs, including Auburn, Florida, Miami and Texas A&M. When asked why he chose Alabama, Odom told Hayes Fawcett on On3 Its history was a big factor.
“Honestly, it was a place where I could fit in well and develop easily. I have developed a great relationship with every coach on the team, especially Coach Cox. And Bama’s history is an important factor, the team is a dynasty and has a history of success.”
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Odom ranks as the fourth tight end. #11 in the state of Georgia and no. 64 nationally in the 2024 vintage.
Makes 14 tough commitments for Alabama’s 2024 class, which climbed to #5 nationally.
