Since its inception in 1895, Berluti has cemented itself as the epitome of men’s elegance. The Maison began by crafting high-quality shoes which have been worn by the likes of Jean Cocteau and Andy Warhol among other influential figures. In recent decades, the house has expanded, bringing its luxurious flair to leather goods as well as ready-to-wear garments. Now, the brand is taking its expert craftsmanship beyond the fashion industry and into the sports realm as it creates outfits for Team France at the Paris Olympics.
As a part of the partnership between LVMH and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Berluti has crafted ensembles for both male and female athletes, expanding past its usual place as a menswear brand. Under the consultation of CR’s own Carine Roitfeld, the Maison crafted outfits that properly suit each of the 1,500 athlete’s individual needs as well as the nature of the event. “All eyes will be on the athletes and coaches for the big day, so I hope that they will be feeling stylish,” Roitfeld said. “I want them to be as proud to wear their outfit as I have been to contribute to this fantastic project.” Indeed, the athletes will shine in these stylish ensembles, embodying Berluti’s luxurious brand signatures while championing comfort and flexibility.
