Converse and Isabel Marant join forces to reimagine the iconic Chuck 70 silhouette. The result is a sleek, Parisian-inspired sneaker that blends the best of both worlds. The Chuck 70 Wedge takes its cue from Marant’s signature wedge sneakers of the 2010s, while the Chuck 70 Ox offers a fresh twist on the classic sneaker brand’s design.
The Chuck 70 Wedge boasts a 2.5-inch heel, adding height to the classic sneaker. Meanwhile, the Chuck 70 Ox is available in both hi-top and low-top versions, catering to different tastes.
Converse x Isabel Marant 2024 Collaboration
The shoes feature a frayed cotton and polyester jacquard upper with multicolor pinstripes and laces, giving them a laid-back, effortless vibe. The campaign images perfectly capture the rebellious spirit of the collaboration, with the model rocking distressed jeans and plaid prints.
But what inspired this unlikely collaboration? For Isabel Marant, it’s a case of coming full circle. “When I was a kid, about eight or nine, I used to cut pieces of cork and put them in my sneakers – those shoes were actually a pair of Chuck Taylors,” she recalls.
Her intention with this collaboration was to create something that’s both desirable and true to the original Chuck Taylor spirit.
The Converse x Isabel Marant collection will debut on September 11 at Isabel Marant’s Paris pop-up, stores, and website before becoming available on converse.com and select Converse locations the following day.
