For Creative Director Pharrell’s sophomore presentation, the creative director transported an intimate group of guests from Paris to the Wild West for Men’s Paris Fashion Week. The house turned to the American Western wardrobe as inspiration, effortlessly infusing bucolic workwear with Louis Vuitton’s luxury codes. Each garment underwent a synthesis, transforming through the help of the house’s chic monograms, expert craftsmanship, and intricate embroidery. Through this collection, Pharrell tapped into Louis Vuitton’s heritage in travel, a mission that brought guests all the way back to the roots of American Western dress.
The new collection’s Western essence is elevated through creative collaborations with Native American artists and designers. Artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations were essential contributors, taking the lead on the show’s staging and soundtrack as well as elements of the collection. This artistic exchange becomes tangible in the form of Louis Vuitton’s accessories, such as the Speedy bag and travel tote, which were embroidered with the tribes’ signature motifs. Elsewhere, the Fall/Winter 2024 Collection finds its footing through a collaboration with Timberland. The brand’s classic American work boots are uplifted through Louis Vuitton’s creative lens, firmly placing the house into the history of American workwear.
