movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the end of the wacky and hilarious Guardians of the Universe trilogy. Still directed by James Gunn, this movie doesn’t leave a mark: an action comedy with cool old school songs.

Emotional ending
Emotional. Perhaps this is the right word to describe the end of the trilogy from the troops that may initially be rarely known to the general public until they become one of the recognized intergalactic forces and have their own uniqueness.
James Gunn returns as director and screenwriter. Providing an ending that might feel right to close the adventures of Peter Quill and friends as Guardians of the Galaxy.

Still with Gunn’s writing characteristic of leaning towards comedy. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 they become hilarious with trivial jokes that sometimes don’t really hit you but make you feel blue when the movie has entered the last round.
No less cool action scenes are present throughout the film. Including a scene that was shot accordingly a received sequence charming and funny. They appear as the attraction and differentiator of this third iteration.

Meanwhile, Gunn still maintains a characteristic that appears in every Guardian film: a choice of music that is memorable and enjoyable to enjoy. In addition to the new song, this film also closes with an old song already known and which is the lifeblood of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Not cinema quality?
The Guardians of the Galaxy weren’t a popular group at Marvel to begin with. Still inferior to the X-Men and Fantastic Four. But James Gunn was able to rocket these five quirky characters (+Nebula) through a fun story
After an exciting road trip full of obstacles, the third film is a place where Gunn places each character within the limitations and hidden problems they still feel.

This movie focuses on Rocket Raccoon’s past, featuring perfect action from the first movie. However, Gunn divides the storytelling burden between each character well. Not only Peter Quill, but also Nebula in Kraglin got their respective parts.
Adam Warlock’s presence is not very noticeable. Even Gunn seems to downplay the potential of one of Marvel’s strongest characters. However Vol. 3 might be enough of an introduction for Adam when he’s up against other characters that have already existed in the MCU.
Gunn managed to deliver the last iteration of the Guardian beautifully. Give each character their own outfit. Although it’s still in Gunn’s typical old format, dealing with sitcom-dense plots and lofts in various settings.

Image quality is probably still an issue for most MCU movies. It feels less pretentious when compared to the previous two films. Not to mention some scenes with a CGI screen that still aren’t sharp enough. Like the previous two MCU films, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023).
