After the proliferation of leaks, Infinix has finally officially announced its FastCharge 260W technology and also Wireless FastCharge 110. This new technology can charge a 4400 mAh battery from 0-100% in less than 8 minutes using a cable, while it can be reached wirelessly in 16 minutes.
Infinix’s latest charging standard is based on the 180W Thunder Charge that was introduced nine months ago. They have upgraded the dual 8C battery to a single 12C battery with a 4-pump circuit design that is able to detect power requirements and automatically distribute pumps.
Charging efficiency is claimed to be up to 98.5% increasing battery life. Our test battery’s 4,400mAh capacity is said to be able to retain 90% of its initial capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. The transformer itself uses GaN material with AHB circuit design featuring high power density, small size and safe charge control.
Meanwhile, the 110W wireless charging technology uses a dedicated coil with a different geometry. This design is claimed to be able to reduce the internal resistance and temperature of the mobile phone while charging.
Infinix has confirmed that its latest charging technology will be present in the Note series phones in 2023. However, it is not known exactly when the handset will be launched. Currently, the mobile with the fastest charging is still owned by the Realme GT Neo 5 (Realme GT3 in the global market) with a power of 240 W.
