True action comedy

Two movies Summary previously popular because it was filled with various action scenes that were hilarious and interspersed with humor here and there. Again directed by Lee Sang-young, the same formula is still the main attraction for this film.

Ma Dong-seok looks promising, although he doesn’t look that bright. Supporter turns also get their respective parts. The one that stands out the most is Lee Joon-hyuk who looks scary as well as the center of tension throughout the film.

Smart execution

For an action movie, There is no way out still using the same storytelling style: there is a new crime and the police investigate as they discover who is behind the mastermind. Without good execution, this movie will feel boring.

There’s actually nothing wrong with using a predictable story. Because this movie is meant for general audience with a light plot. It was really fun to enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes of Ma Dong-seok fighting and eliminating his pesky opponents.

The audience also doesn’t need to have seen the previous film to enjoy the thrill that is presented. There are indeed some callbacks to the previous films, but most of them are partial middle credit scene in the end.

There is no need to question the use of the same story. Because this format has been successful in generating box office popularity (and of course money), with the second film skyrocketing as the 9th most watched Korean film in history.
