As part of the 2023 MLB Little League Classic, the Philadelphia Phillies players took advantage of the game’s late start time on Sunday to cheer for some young players from hometown Williamsburg.
Phillies and Washington Nationals players competed in the Little League World Series between teams Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. A group of Phillies players were shown cheering for the media, Penn. Team including a jubilant Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner after an RBI double hit in the fifth inning. Accordingly sports illustratedthe group of Phillies and Nationals players signed autographs for the children and other spectators.

Although the game ended in a draw in game five, Philadelphia lost 7-2, according to the local CBS outlet. They have been eliminated.
MLB teams were there as part of the 2017 MLB Little League Classic. The Phillies and Nationals play Sunday night at Muncy Bank Ballpark in Historic Bowman Field, a game that will be televised on ESPN.
Little League tweeted some videos of interactions between players and fans, including Garrett Stubbs telling a fan looking for an autograph that the young athlete also needs to sign his jersey.

There were some very happy moments for the kids who hope to one day wear the same football boots as these pro players.
