2. Prisco’s power rankings: Jets, Browns make big jumps

It’s May, which means it’s time for… Pete Prisco’s Power Rankings! Yes, thats how it is. With the draft in mind, everyone’s favorite writer has taken stock of all 32 teams and ranked them for the upcoming 2023 season. The reigning conference champions Chiefs and Eagles remain at the top, but several other clubs have made moves. great since his last command:

8. Throat (+9): They took a big step up in this ranking after getting Aaron Rodgers. Talent is everywhere in this squad, but now comes the hard part for the youngsters, dealing with expectations.

14. Coffee (+9): If Deshaun Watson can return to his former form, they will be a major factor in the division race. Last year he looked bad, which has to be a concern. They did a good job expanding the roster through the draft and free agency.

23. Bears (+9): This is another team moving in the right direction. Justin Fields needs to improve as a passer. You are a year away.

The exodus from Green Bay continues. Earlier this offseason, Rodgers unofficially offloaded former Packers teammates Allen Lazard, Billy Turner and Tim Boyle to the Jets. now, Cobb follows suit, who agreed to a one-year deal with New York on Wednesday. The 32-year-old wide receiver joins a stacked group of pass catchers that also includes Lazard, former Chiefs starter Mecole Hardman and reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson. This marks the second time he’s reunited with Rodgers in the last two years, having previously returned to the Packers via trade with the Texans in 2021.

NFL draft expert Ryan Wilson analyzed every single pick in the 2023 draft and placed all 32 teams according to their respective design classes. He is behind the Cowboys, who are last in his rankings, as well as the Patriots and Texans. But he’s a big fan of what happened over draft weekend in Green Bay, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. The Steelers are the No. 1 team. 1 in his comp, and they have special props for their surprise Day 2 selection of a certain tight end:

Darnell Washington was considered the top pick at 45 for most of the draft process, but some medical concerns caused his stock to take a hit. Put another way, the Steelers landed one of the craziest athletes in the entire class — as well as their best tight end — late in the third round.
